Healthier options...

With the whole scaredemic of the Covid years, it has awakened me in many ways.  I became more politically active than I had been previously, I became more aware of the pitfalls our society, and how unhealthy we are as a whole.  Not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually. It opened my eyes to how much other entities want to control individuals, they want to treat us as stupid children and have us just accept what they offer us, because they are only "looking out for our best interests." Well you know what, for the most part companies, governmental agencies, and government bodies are not looking out for the individual, they are looking out for themselves.  We have it so good right now, clean water, food, and most of us are not working in hard labor industries, we have gotten soft.  Mentally and physically. Right now I am looking at food companies and trying to figure out what is good for us vrs what is bad.  My favorite principle to live by is KISS, ...

Happy New Year!

I am cautiously optimistic about 2021 and I am looking forward to the year.  One thing that I learned in 2020 is that perspective and attitude can really help you navigate challenges.  It doesn't make them go away but it certainly can help your mental and emotional health stay on a more even keel even tending towards positivity and happiness, but it does take work. Last night during my dance party I was listening to 'Higher' by Gloria Estefan and thought this is a great song for 2021.  The chorus goes like this: Just understand, don't get me wrong You got to live your life, live it right Or you'll go bac...

It's Curtains For You!

Earlier this summer I was cleaning out the little Padawn's room and noticed how dusty the top of the curtains were, so I took them down and washed them.  Why I didn't wash the rest of the curtains in the house is a mystery to me. Yesterday, I decided that the curtains in our kitchen, sitting and dining rooms' curtains were also dusty as were the curtain rods they sat on.  So I took them down and washed them and hung them out in the sun to dry.   Today I took down the curtains in the living room and the office and washed them and hung them out to dry.  And yes I dusted all the curtain rods and tops of the window moldings too. It is a small thing that doesn't have to be done often and one of those things I kept saying 'I'll get to it'.  It dawned on me that the process is long but can be done in short chunks, which makes it a great thing to do while working from home.   Take down the curtains and toss in the washer (35 minutes...maybe) Go to work Ta...
