Two weeks with the mask

Ok so the good news is that I don't have a full fledged mask with my CPAP machine, it is just this uber sexy nose pillow and the hose sits at the top of my head so it doesn't get in the way too much.  And it is really pretty quiet which is good.

It does feel kind of weird as I get used to it and for the most part I don't feel like I am driving down the highway with my head out the window which is good.  Last night was a bad night, something wasn't quite right and there was a hissing sound like there was an airleak somewhere and I couldn't find it.  It couldn't have been that bad since my app gave me a good score but I did see that last night's "leak' value was higher than any other night.  Normally I am between 1-3, last night I was at 8.  Not sure what is up with that.

I have noticed that for the most part I have been waking up around 5 AM fairly well rested and ready to go, but I just don't want to leave my bed because I LOVE my bed and it is warm.  So the machine says I have it on for usually about 7 to 7.5 hours but I am not sleeping that whole time I actually don't know how long I am asleep because it does take me longer to fall asleep and I do wake up a bit more than I used to.  Despite that I guess I feel more awake during the day so that is good.

I haven't really checked my BP to see if there has been any effect there and I know there hasn't been in the weight department.  But that lack of movement is all on me and I know that. Yes, I have done my 20 minute walk for my #Walk20In20 Challenge but unfortunately, I have slacked in my actual workouts.  My original intention was to add the 20 minutes to what I had been doing, so still working on that.  Also on the weight front, I need to start counting and weighing again because honestly, that is all that worked to lose.  Yes I have proven to myself that I can maintain on my own but that is not good enough yet, I am not where I want to be (which is the goal my doctor set for me).

Today I am doing what I can to set myself up for success by making menu plans which seems like overkill but I know what works for me.  I also asked Mr.Padawan to help me because he is AWESOME.  He is an amazing support person for me and doesn't push in an obnoxious way but asks questions so I stop and think do I want to eat something or do I really want to skip exercise.  I don't know how he does it but I count my blessings that it works for me.  Most of the time he has this perfect blend of pushiness, cheerleading, shoulder to cry on, sounding board, and he does it with love.  I am pretty darn lucky.
