We are going to make it?
Sequester Day 4 ...
I had a thought last night, are we going to make it through this craziness that we are experiencing? I realized that yes we are, there will be some good times, and some not so good times, we will yell at our family and be cranky, and then laugh ourselves silly.
While I am limiting my consumption of FB so that I can avoid the news as much as possible, it gave me hope. I have a few friends that homeschool their kids, some do the hardcore homeschool, some have their kids enrolled in a charter cyber school, and sure they are having a bit of fun at the expense of those of us that send our kids off to school Monday through Friday, but it is all in good fun to help us all get through the day.
But they are also posting some really good resources for parents that are feeling like they are out of their comfort zone. They are offering us a laugh and a lifeline because for them this is not all that different than what they are used to. That is the awesomeness of us, sure we laugh at each other and poke fun of each other and fight amongst ourselves over political issues, but when push comes to shove we come together and make it work. We are resilient and we will make it to the end of this mostly sane and with some amazing stories.
We are far stronger than we think we are. We support each other even when there are times that we don't like each other. In short, we are amazing people and we show that in our own ways and that is what will get us through this crazy time.
Below is a round up of links that I have bookmarked from friends and family to help those with kids find something to do.
