I got a little lax....

Things seem to be going pretty well here, I think I am comfortable with the new-ish routine even if it is going to get up ended again on Monday as our school district begins new lessons.  All the previous lessons were designed to maintain and avoid brain rot.  While it is a new thing, I believe it will be for the better, there is the stated expectation of 3 hours of work a day and they have defined a schedule of when work is assigned and when it is due, the actual working of it we still need to wait another day but I am optimistic.

I think the new stuff will benefit my oldest who I could tell was very bored by the maintenance lessons.  My youngest is very happy go lucky so he was ok with pretty much anything.

I have been ruminating on one of the items in the IG chat this week of using a new hair product and while I don't have any just laying around the house I did clean out my make up drawer.  But I also started to think about 'little indulgences' so now I am on the search for a sulfate free shampoo.  I think I found one but am waiting to see what my FB friends may recommend.  I also realized how hard it is to find a scent free shampoo, let alone one that is sulfate free.

My second little indulgence is a potential Easter gift to myself via the Bunny, rain boots.  After two days of getting my feet soaked, I think that now is the time to bite the bullet and get a pair for me.  They would be good for soccer games (if we ever play them again) or in the yard, as well as the walks.

One theme that is mentioned is exercise and over snacking, and how this can be a great way to start a habit or jumpstart one because you won't have outside influences. And a reminder that if you let go completely now it will be so much harder to get back on the wagon later.  With that in mind I have been eating a tiny bit better so I am making progress, and I committed to once again doing the Jillian Michaell's beginner shred which is a 30 day program.  I have completed workout 1 for the first time so I have 5 days under my belt.  I will begin again on Monday for the second round of week 1 (which if you don't know the program the way it is designed, 3 work outs and you do each work out 10 times.)

Oh and tomorrow is my 12th wedding anniversary.  I think I will be wearing my wedding tiara all day long to celebrate.  Also we will be making some pizza and I have some Prosseco which is what Mr. Padawan and I have for our relationship dates (anniversary and Valentine's Day).  I also grabbed a couple of new Italian recipes for snacks to go with the pizza, we did go to Italy on our honeymoon which is why we do Prosseco rather than Champagne.  I have asked Mr.Padawan to make them with me and he seems game.  I might even bust out the wedding china too.  I don't have any other wine and our Prosseco is the mini bottle which is only one glass each so that is a bummer.  I could go to the liquor store because it is an essential business, but it doesn't seem right, I do reserve the right to change my mind though.
