Be reasonable not fearful

This is not data taken from a fringe site it is respected
Worldometer is a provider of global COVID-19 statistics for many caring people around the world. Our data is also trusted and used by the UK Government, Johns Hopkins CSSE, the Government of Thailand, the Government of Pakistan, the Government of Sri Lanka, Government of Vietnam, Financial Times, The New York Times, Business Insider, BBC, and many others. source
And lets not neglect that you hear all over social media and the news OMG the children and delta is so much worse for them, there are so many being hospitalized.
I look at this official data for my state and I think why the hysteria? Do you wonder that as well?
Earlier today I joined a webinar hosted by The Boston Globe (not right wing fringe organization) and Boston's Children's hospital. I loved that one of the panelists called this out...it is a paraphrase from what I wrote down in my notes right now but once the recording is posted I will link to it to get the transcript.
UK schools are unmasked all the time, during their delta wave, the numbers are small not a huge risk

So my fellow human, the point is be aware of your surroundings and be cautious. But don't be so paranoid and fearful that you stop living your life and you continue to demand people do things to make you feel better. If you want to wear a mask so be it, but don't demand it of others. If you want to get vaccinated so be it, go for it but don't demand others do it, especially don't demand it of kids. If you child has a complex health history and you and your medical team deem it appropriate go for it. But that doesn't mean it is right for every child, that should remain the parents choice.
